    Alma La Scuola Internazionale di Cucina Italiana Advanced Italian Cuisine Program Fee: 9.600 Euros.

Upon completing Professional Culinary Arts program, MSA students can enroll in the 7-months Advanced Italian Cuisine Program in ALMA, thanks to the special agreement between MSA and ALMA La Scuola Internazionale di Cucina Italiana, the number one culinary institute endorsed by the Italian Government. The MSA graduate students who want to have a culinary career in Italian cuisine can complete their internship in the best hotels and restaurants in Italy. The program capacity is 20 students per period and features practical and theoretical classes 5 days a week and 8 hours a day. The instruction language is either Italian or English depending on the class profile. If Italian, the translation to English is done by a translator. Students can also learn the Italian language used in the kitchen. This joint program between MSA & Alma is a comprehensive culinary student exchange program, giving the young chefs a chance to earn a reputable diploma and complete their internships in a reputable establishment.

Training in ALMA

The training program is designed to give students professional and practical training on advanced Italian Cuisine. The training covers Italian cuisine and culture, choosing ingredients and equipment, demos by guest chefs, cooking techniques, Italian wines, Italian language and field trips. The students receive total of 360 hours, 45 days of training through out the 2-months duration. Lecture notes, uniforms and kitchen equipment are provided by ALMA. Upon completing the course, students attend an assesment exam organised by ALMA before starting their internship.

Internship locations are allocated by ALMA based on students’ character, attributes and achievements at school. Students are given the chance to work in a real Italian kitchen with a real professional Italian chef. During the internship period, accommodation and meals are provided by the internship location. At the end of the whole training period, students are rewarded with the "Master Chef in Italian Cuisine" certificate by ALMA La Scuola Internazionale di Cucina Italiana.

What Is Included in the Fee?

Education 7-months, Accommodation in private apartments for 2 months in Colorno, lunch (From Monday to Friday), lecture notes, uniform and kitchen utensils, transportation for field trips, meals and accommodation throughout the internship, visa and paperwork support.

Meals during weekends and dinners, transfer to Colorno, transfer to internship location, residence permit in Italy are not excluded in the fee.

Accommodation and Other Information

The city of Colorno, 120 km from Milan, is a student town spotted with bars, parks, football field and swimming pool located 15 km from Parma. Students can stay in in 2, 3 or 4 bedroom, fully equipped apartments in the town of Colorno. No extra accommodation fee is charged for MSA students. The dorms are 10 minutes walking distance from the school, and recently renovated. There is a shopping district near by the accommodations as well.
